Help For Mom (Renee)

After being estranged from my mother for a number of years, I reconnected with her, but only to find that she’s in a very bad place at the present time. Since reconnecting, I’ve come to find out that over the past few years she has bounced from working to being unemployed and from having a roof over her head to being homeless. Most recently, while homeless and on the road, she was robbed and found unconscious. After being brought to the hospital and eventually rehab, she left the rehab facility unable to walk.  She presently has serious mobility issues due to having neuropathy in both legs, among other medical issues. The neuropathy prevents her from walking and doing normal things without assistance. I was able to help her with obtaining an apartment and I’m now working on getting her some furniture. Renee has a manual wheelchair, but in order for her to be somewhat independent in her own apartment, she will need a power wheelchair and a Hoyer Lift. This gofundme is to request assistance to purchase these items (as well as help with some furniture for her apartment).
