<div>Earlier today, my sister — a U.S. citizen and mother — was forcefully dragged from her car and detained by ICE in the City of Chicago.

<div>She was recently recovering from kidney surgery and, because of the excessive force used during her detention, had to make another hospital visit. She’s now facing additional physical and emotional trauma, has been left without a car, is unable to work for the time being, and is burdened with growing medical expenses.

<div>The good news is that she is home now and able to begin recovering with the support of family.
</div>

<div>This GoFundMe was created to help ease her financial strain and support her recovery so she can continue to focus on work school and her family.
