Hello out there, I hope you all are well. I am posting to this site as a final attempt to save our family home from auction or short sale which will happen on August 10th unless we experience a miracle soon. I hope with all my heart that this can be achieved. I bought this home in 2002 for my two daughters and our then single dog and myself to live in. We have been here 10 years, it is truly home. We rescued two more dogs and they all are so happy. I have poured so much into this home, sweat equity as they call it. I have beautiful fruits trees that I planted that produce so much fruit every year which allow me to pass my jams and pies around to those I love.
I know this is a long shot, but we're facing a pretty destitute situation. I recently had a total hip replacement which made it difficult and painful to work. I finally had to stop working after I achieved enough hours to qualify for medical benefits. I am very grateful for that and for the successful surgery, it was a blessing. I fell behind on my mortgage way back in November of 2010 due mostly to lack of work. I began asking the bank what I could do. Long story short, I got on the "slippery slop" of the modification process and was denied over and over again for various reasons including the first of going over the timeline by one day. I wrote letters to high places after it was suggested that I had been dealing with bank error. Alas I was awarded $20,000.00 as a grant from a non-profit to reinstate my loan. The bank turned it down because I still had $14,000.00 in the rears with late fees and all. This all happening when I was the most crippled and could barely walk. I was in injured animal mode as my friend put it.
I am a hairstylist in the motion picture union and a graphic artist and illustrator. We have the arts well imbedded into our home and life. I currently have no job and am on disability and my credit is ruined. My oldest daughter lives with me now as do our 3 rescue dogs. The eventual act of finding a new place to live with all of these aspects on my personal tally is looking very, very bad. We can not give up our animals in any event.
I would like to offer my artistic services in exchange for more sizable donations, and heartfelt gratitude all around.
I'd be so happy to create logos, company branding, business card design, drawings or hair cuts if you live close enough. I will post my website so you can see some of my graphic design work.
Whatever small amount multiplied by many could mean the world to this family. Cause and effect, pay it forward, universal laws of attraction, I believe in these spiritual concepts. I hope that by putting this out there we may have a chance.
