Hello again, Everyone!
I’ve had so many of you trying to contact me for an update of my progress so I thought it was time to let you all know how I am travelling.
As mentioned in my update whilst at the QLD facility, my body responded very well to the various treatments and regime there, building my strength back, reducing my palpable lumps and increasing white blood cells and general quality of red blood cells too. Basically, my immune system has been boosted and I’m in a much better condition as a result.
However, I am not ‘out of the woods’ yet – I’ve recently had some complications with the mass in my nasopharynx which blocks my left ear Eustachian tube. Steroids were part of the temporary treatment – not fun!!
This mass lurks quite threateningly as it could potentially impact on my brain.
I will have to undergo an operation under general anesthetic in a couple of weeks to temporarily remedy the symptoms I experience with this pressure against my ear drum and the Eustachian tube function. This is by no means the cure.
Having reached this point I am now ready and in good shape for the next stage of healing which I believe will have the greatest impact of disappearing the cancer to a point of non-existence or at the very least undetectable by any available scanning machine.
I am booked as an inpatient in a clinic in the USA to start a 5-week treatment this 19th October. It has been running for 30 years specialisng in cases such as mine and similar, with great results. Many of the case studies are published and I have been deemed to be a worthy candidate for the protocol. They also want to officially use me as a research subject. How exciting! I truly hope I can be of service to assist with further research and new findings in this very scary and much-too-common disease plaguing our world.
I am so grateful to everyone who has contributed to my wellness and for all the heart-felt comments and direct communications – the support has been beyond my most hopeful expectations. The amount contributed so far has assisted my restoration and encourages me to continue along this path. With continued support I know I will be 100% well in little time.

Firstly, I would like to thank Patrick (my nephew) and Irina (my very good friend) for putting this funding campaign together.
I believe many of you know my story but perhaps not the details and the recent developments.
So if you could lend 2 minutes to read the following I would be grateful.
I was shell-shocked 4 years ago in March 2013 after an ultra-sound, some painful needle aspirations and a brutal biopsy delivered the diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin Follicular Lymphoma. After undergoing toxic and very unpleasant tests and scans I never imagined existed ( PET, CT x 2 and a horrible bone biopsy where they drill into your hip/pelvis to extract bone and marrow whilst you’re semi-conscious!) I was given the final diagnosis of Stage 4. This announcement was like being hit by a freight train and it takes a long while to recover from the shock to return to some sense of calm management of one’s emotional and mental state.
The cancer was found in my spleen, stomach, chest, arm pits, groin areas, neck/under chin and most precariously in my nasopharynx area where it has grown so far to the left hand side, that it blocks my Eustachian tube. In order to give the ear some passage for air I had to undergo two operations under general anesthetic to pierce a hole in my eardrum to insert a grommet. This mass of cancerous lymphatic cells has now grown to more than 4.2 x 2.5 cm. There is a danger that this will impact on my brain if not arrested.
I have spent 4 years researching both conventional and non-toxic management/ treatment whilst making many lifestyle and dietary changes as I’ve discovered many other cancer sufferers have had to do. I have been under the supervision and guidance by both conventional (Peter Mac Cancer Clinic) and integrative professionals at NIIM (National Institute of Integrative Medicine).
Living with the cancer and trying to keep myself as healthy as possible to keep the cancer from growing has been so all-consuming ( as most of my dear friends and family will know) as the knowledge of the cancer throughout my body - somewhat of a time bomb - is on my mind every single minute of every day.
Last week, I woke up to find that a large, rock-solid tumor under my jaw had tripled in size overnight (see photo). This has been extremely painful with a great deal of inflammation. Difficult to eat, brush my teeth, swallow etc. The pressure on the nerves and body tissue hurt considerably. These tumors continue to flare up at any given moment, suddenly and severely.
This time the haematologist at Peter Mac is warning me that the tumor could have ‘transformed’ into a more aggressive type or could be another form of cancer completely. They explained that this could mean that “…only within a few months it could spread throughout my head and it’s the kind of thing they’ve seen before from which people can die …quickly”. I cried for the entire day when they told me this.
I am now feeling quite worn down by the 4 years of effort to become well again. My condition is compromising all that I do whilst I have this dark shadow hovering. I would dearly love to regain my health and energy so that I can get on with working to full capacity and enjoying the simple day-to-day activities of life without the deep sense of fear as my constant companion.
It will not surprise you to know that I am feeling an urgent need to embark on a more intensive path of healing so, based on my 4 years of extensive research (books, internet and meeting many successful survivors who have had similar experiences) and having searched worldwide, I have finally found a cancer support facility/clinic in QLD that can provide urgent and effective treatment over the course of several months which can certainly extend my life and help me heal. Unfortunately, there are no facilities like this in Melbourne.
My hematologist encouraged that I undergo this treatment process sooner rather than later.
I have been offered a place at this a facility which will provide the treatment I require as soon as I am ready to go. Given that we are now in ‘Mission Emergency’ mode, I hope to go within a week or two at the latest. This will be a minimum of $20,000 for 28 days.
At a recent 2.5-hour consultation, the oncologist, as well as endorsing the above, strongly recommended a 2-month course (as initial treatment) of oral ampules and intravenous (on a drip) administration of a ‘super antigen’ drug that will boost my immune system and encourage the T-Cells to attack the cancer cells. I’m looking forward to that!
Unfortunately, this whole process is not an inexpensive exercise - approximately $10,000 only to start - as it is expected that I will need ongoing maintenance even after this initial round of treatments. Potentially this could take years.
The oncologist said; “Anita, you are currently at the tipping point of either eliminating the disease (by acting urgently) or allowing it to progress to a far worse and unmanageable situation.”
Up to this point the cost of my prescriptions and therapies have been great and leave me juggling bills on my credit cards.
Reluctantly, I now feel the need to ask for the collective support from my community of friends (and friends of friends!) and family to help me finance these new therapies.
It’s due to the suggestions and encouragement from many precious friends and family that I am making this plea for support. Any donation towards my healing would be gratefully acknowledged and considered a compassionate and generous gesture no matter the amount.
