Heather Allen Chemo Medical Fund

My name is Donna Grimm and I am initiating this fundraiser on behalf of my daughter Heather Allen who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2012.
Heather is a stay-at-home mom and lives in Wolf Creek with her family of five. She is a very talented young woman who enjoys playing piano both at church and at home- always striving to better herself. She is also a talented artist and has created some amazing drawings.
She has a heart for helping others and truly is a light in this world, encouraging others and giving of herself and her time to family and friends.
Heather moved to Wolf Creek with her husband, Brandon, and two adoptive children, Devon and Valli, where they currently have chickens, rabbits and nature all around them. Heather and Brandon got married in 2015 and began their new family while Heather has been struggling with the beginning stages of Multiple Myeloma, then in 2017, she began Chemotherapy.
Heather is not entitled to State Disability or Social Security Benefits, therefore our hope is that this fundraiser will provide her with resources necessary for her treatment and recovery.
All funds generated from this account will be used to pay for costs associated with the treatment and subsistence of Heather as she goes through the steps, seeking to be cured of this cancer. Examples of the related costs are the insurance deductibles for tests, treatment, hospital stays and doctor visits, including travel to chemotherapy and specialists from her rural home. Other costs include private health insurance payments to maintain insurance while she is under treatment, bills, and maintaining family needs.
The funds will be needed immediately, as over $2,700 has been billed to her just for her initial visits this year alone and she has had to postpone some of her injections because of it.
As a parent, I will do everything I can to help, within my ability, while I too am undergoing chemotherapy. I know that both Brandon and Heather are doing everything that they can, even selling items to afford the costs of health insurance. This is why we have decided to request support from our family, friends, and anyone who has a desire to help. This is very difficult for us to do, but at this point, we feel it is a necessary step.
