Madeline Hope and ToF Foundation

My name is Madeline Hope and I am expecting to arrive on June 28, 2015. During the 17th week of pregnancy, my mommy and daddy were overjoyed when they learned they were having a little girl. Unfortunately, that joy quickly turned to immense sadness when the doctor discovered a defect in my heart. I could hear my mommy crying and sobbing, while my daddy was consoling her. The next day, I had a fetal echocardiogram performed and was diagnosed with having Tetralogy of Fallot. After meeting with multiple doctors, my parents learned that I was to undergo multiple surgeries straight from birth and throughout my childhood. All these doctor visits and diagnostic testing got expensive fast, and insurance only goes so far. Even though the doctors and nurses explained what was going on, my mommy and daddy were still looking for more information and answers. Sadly, they couldn't find a support group or any foundation that focuses specifically on Tetralogy of Fallot. After many long discussions, my parents and I thought it would be a good idea to start a foundation specifically for Tetralogy of Fallot. They thought maybe "Hearts of Hope, Tetralogy of Fallot Foundation" would be a good name. My mommy and daddy picked this name because my middle name is Hope and they have continue hope and faith that I will pull through and be the little girl they've always dreamed of having. The foundation's main missions would be to raise awareness of Tetralogy of Fallot, provide financial assistance for medical treatment to parents of Tetralogy of Fallot babies, support for TOF families, and to help researchers learn more about this heart defect.

In conclusion, my parents would love and appreciate your support by spreading the word and donating to the purpose of creating this foundation. My mommy, daddy, and I HOPE that you will help us repair one heart at a time. God bless and thank you!
