Christophers Heart

Donation protected
You have never met a more amazing person. My husband Christopher is the most Amazing man I know. He has rare qualities that are hard to come by in this day and age. Honesty, ethics, morals, drive, curiosity, kindness, understanding... I could go on forever. He was such a hard worker, gave so much of himself to so many and never asked anything in return.

So a few months ago, when he started slowing down, coughing a lot and running short of breath, we went to Urgent care thinking Bronchitis. They ran an X-ray and some other tests, then sent us on our way. They told us they would call with any results.

It was lunchtime. Earlier in the day we heard about a Pizza place that just won the " #1 Pizza in Denver" award on google.  So we were excited about that and began to head to the restaurant.
Within minutes (literally), Christophers cell phone rang.  It was the Dr's office. They asked us to come back in ASAP. (The urgent care Doctor doesn't call you personally, minutes after you've walked out of the office if its good news).

Imagine your Husband, wife, brother, sister....or even your child in Christopher’s situation and then try and look away with out helping.

Christopher had been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure at 34 years old. Now as a hard working , 34 year old  (as so many vivacious 34 year olds) He did not have health insurance. Unfortunately the only treatment for Christopher consists of medication, and a heart transplant.

It is a very progressive disease that very few people know enough about. Heart disease kills 1 out of 3 people. Of course everyone knows smoking is bad for you, and exercise and a well balanced meal is good for you. However, if you could see first hand how quickly this disease progressed, and the suffering your loved one goes though, you would shout a warning from the top of the highest mountain.

If you are reading this you know that Chris is the one with the truck,  who was willing to help you move. He's the one who'd bring you some gumbo if you were sick, the guy who'd loan you the money ,so you could make a bid on a job. Chris is the guy who'd show up when no one else would or could.
Christopher Oliver was always the first to help when someone needed a hand, and now he desperately needs karma and a few kind people.  to throw a little help his way.

Ok. A LOT of help his way

Christopher needs a new heart.  It's unbelievable how this vibrant, brilliant, enterprising, kind , man could end up in this position. His life's work was building schools and hospitals. Now he is in and out of hospitals wanting to go back to school, (for cardiology) struggling to breath, fighting for adequate health care, and running out of money, time, and hope.

We want to raise money to help Chris get his new heart. He and I need $10,000 to keep up with living expenses while we make plans for the best health care possible. We're working out a roadmap now and will keep you updated as we get news.
But seriously, The guy who has helped everyone else needs your help. NOW! Please donate, and share and then donate again. After that, add some positive thoughts and a gumbo bowl of prayers. He needs it all.
