Let's CURE Tonya's Lupus!!!

Tonya Webb-Montgomery has a condition named Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, (commonly just called Lupus). Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disorder that can affect virtually any organ of the body. Basically, the body's immune system, which normally functions to protect against foreign invaders, becomes hyperactive, forming antibodies that attack normal tissues and organs, including the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, heart, lungs, and blood.

Because of the nature of this illness, there is no known cure in modern medicine, so most of the people in the U.S., who are affected with Lupus, typically live the remainder of their lives treating the symptoms of the disease with synthetic drugs.
