#BTHOHate & The #MaroonWall

We (Adam Key and Michael Buse) are students at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and were planning a protest on September 11, 2017 in response to white nationalist Preston Wiginton’s ‘White Lives Matter’ rally. The event was a nonviolent protest to demonstrate that members of the Aggie community do not support the hateful bigotry espoused by Wiginton. Since the university has canceled the bigoted rally, we will as we promised our donors, donate funds to local groups serving those afflicted by white supremacists. We have no direct affiliation with these groups and will donate to them by check to most groups and online donation to Hillel after we withdraw funds. Combined with funds we raised by t-shirt sales, we will donate $1700 to the following organizations: the Brazos Interfaith Immigration Network, the Brazos Valley African American Museum Scholarship Fund, the Texas A&M Hillel, the Islamic Community Center of Bryan/College Station, and the Charlottesville support fund.
