The core of Gemaire Distributors has always been our employees - our family. With the recent and tragic flooding in Southeast Texas, that family, the HVAC community that they serve, and the communities in which they live, have endured devastating circumstances. We are extremely proud of our team and relieved that they are all safe. We have seen and heard what many of them are doing to help their neighbors in need.
This campaign has been developed first to aid our Gemaire family, some of whom have lost everything, and second to support and assist the communities we serve. We have learned that, in typical Gemaire spirit, our employees have been assisting to aid in rescues and support first responders. As an example, our employees in Corpus Christi - along with their families - took it upon themselves to cook food and provide sustenance to first responders in their area.
Gemaire is making an initial contribution of $5,000 to these efforts, with a pledge to match at least an additional $5,000 in donations by our employees, vendors, and anyone else in a position to help. In trying times, it is important to focus on what makes us who we are - our families, colleagues, and the communities where we live and work. We will do all we can to ensure that our employees can get back on their feet, and continue the good work that they do in their communities.
