Help get the Harling Family to the US

My name is Duncan Harling(42) and this is my family, with me in the photo— my wife, Lee-Ann(43), and my daughters, Sade(19) and Caer(13).

Global Community Communications Alliance Church has invited me to do missionary work in Arizona with my family, and I am raising funds to cover the costs of our visas ($3,235) and travel expenses ($5,400)

In 2010 I started experiencing symptoms of what Doctors diagnosed as ‘Degenerative Arthritis’ in my lower spine brought on by childhood Scheuermann's disease. I was rushed in for emergency surgery to prevent what the surgeon warned would be a permanent disability due to the Sciatic nerve being severed. Six titanium screws were used to separate my lower vertebrae after the discs had disintegrated. Due to medical negligence, however, the hardware was infected with Multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus. After two further failed operations, eventually I regressed into continual spasms and the inability to walk. I couldn’t lie down or stand and had to sleep sitting at a table.

I never believed any of the Doctor’s diagnoses and came to the conclusion that I would never heal until I surrendered to God —absolutely. With open, active wounds, debilitating pain, and a family who needed me to be strong I went to God and asked for his forgiveness and help. EVERYTHING changed.

Through incredible divine serendipity, I was led to get in touch with the GCCAlliance – a Church and Eco-Village in Arizona, USA. For the last three years, I have been a member of the Church and have been doing religious classes, via correspondence and home-study course work.

God shared with me that we were going to be moving to another town and it was there that I was going to be healed. We were moved to a small town and within two months, I had found a surgeon who said he would fix me. An operation was scheduled in June; I prepared for the worst and made my peace with whatever the outcome. The surgeon removed the hardware from my body. Within a few weeks, I was all healed up. Now, I have no pain at all and am as mobile as I was 20 years ago! The large scars are the only physical reminder of what I went through, but they are scars I cherish.

Through this whole experience, I have learned what it means to surrender, to submit to correct authority, and to use faith to create hope. God shone the light on the path, and we have been walking that path together ever since.

Since I am now able to travel, I have been invited by the Church for the next 5 years to serve in Arizona and integrate into their outreach and missionary work with my family. I will live with my family in the community and gain the experience of living our spirituality by focusing our lives fully into community outreach and dedicated missionary work. With this step, we can be a part of assisting to make a difference in the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters learning how to do this also in South Africa.

With the support of donations for our visas and travel, we will be able to attend more classes, receive training, reach out to others, gain further healing, and serve the greater community of God.  We feel the door to this special opportunity is open now and we are grateful for any support you can give. Thank you.
