Hannah Hensley: Boston Tuition Help!

I've been accepted to my dream school....but I can't afford to go! Please keep my hope alive and help fund my urgent need. Here's my story. (Click on the picture to the left to see photos of past performances and hear Hannah sing.)

In June, I will be graduating from Colfax High School, a small public high school in Northern California. Since I was 7 years old, I knew that I wanted to perform on the Broadway stage. I have performed in a variety of musicals, multiple plays, student choirs, and showcases. I've gotten up at 5:30am for the past four years to sing in our award-winning, audition-only chamber choir, attend classes, and stay after school for my passion of musical theater. I've enjoyed lead roles in Guys & Dolls, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Alice in Wonderland, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, and Sherlock Holmes. In the summertime I volunteer as an assistant director for a youth summer theater camp and work part-time. While participating in all of these activities, my parents are proud that I have studied hard and maintained my GPA above 3.75, even with AP classes.
Last winter, I traveled to Boston to audition for my dream college, The Boston Conservatory. Weeks later I was very excited to receive one of only 30 invitations to the Bachelor of Fine Arts Musical Theater program. I could see and feel my dream becoming a reality. Unfortunately, that was until my middle income family realized, even with the financial aid and scholarships offered, there was no way to afford the $50,000+ tuition and expenses per year. My heart was crushed by the reality that my dream may be over.
I know that I am lucky to have the encouragement of friends and family, but encouragement does not pay the high cost of college. Any donation or assistance, even a little, if added with others can add up to keep my dream of Broadway alive. I truly appreciate every cent donated. Thank you in advance.
Thank you also to my directors, teachers, family and friends for believing in me and supporting me through the years. I trust you are right to say my strong work ethic, determination, and love for the arts will lead me to succeed in college, on stage, and in life.
