Haiti Family Needs Us

The Eristin family previously rented and lived in one half of the house on the left.  Thanks to many people who donated funds, offered prayers and volunteered their time, this family now owns their own home -shown in the pictures above.  The mom and dad of this family joined the work work crew every day to help build their new home.  They want everyone to know how greatful they are for this gift that has given them overwhelming joy and hope for the future of thier family.

The Eristin family pictured above needs our help! This beautiful family of 9 currently lives in the mountains of Haiti in a house with walls constructed of mud and branches. The roof leaks every time it rains and most of the family sleeps on the floor. They need your financial support to raise $5,500.00 to fully fund a well-constructed home that will provide increased health, physical safety and a security. Do something awesome today by donating what you can to provide a decent home for this deserving family. Many people in this community are without adequate housing. Your gift can make a sustainable and tangible impact that will change lives for generations.

This family’s Mom and Dad both work very hard to provide for their children while faced with the daily challenges of farming a small piece of land. Mom also works as a cook, providing meals each day for the local school. One of the Eristin-Jean children is severely handicapped with a condition thought to be Spina bifida. Dad can be seen holding her in the photo above. Together, we have an opportunity to make a vital and historic difference for this family and the community of approximately 6,000 people that has no electricity, no running water and very little hope.

Housing must become a priority. We will be joining a team of volunteers traveling to Haiti at the end of November to work together with the local Haitians as we build a home and bless this family and community.  Click the “Donate Now” button near the top right side of this page to make little into much!

If Not Us, Then Who? If Not Here, Then Where? If Not Now, Then When?

Over the last three years I have witnessed the building of a nearby sustainable community called the Village of Hope that has grown from an idea to a thriving community of homes, medical facilities, an orphanage with a playground and a church. The transformation has been inspiring for many like me who have been used to see hope restored where all hope was lost. Now there is opportunity for people like you to multiply this process by helping to develop another sustainable community one home at a time.

The needs are great but the opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus are even greater. We all have been created with unique gifts, passion and talents that God will use to grow his Kingdom.
