Weighted Blankets For Special Needs

I am posting this for my Sister!
She is looking to help out families with special needs children by making weighted blanket for sensory issues. These really work! She made one for her daughter and now Hailey falls asleep by herself and actually sleeps through the night!! Not only are they beneficial for kids of all ages, it also helps the parents get more sleep. :) These blankets can be very costly if you buy online, with a sales price of $120 and up. Many families can't afford it, especially when a spouse has to quit their job due to the constant attention required by the special needs kid/adult. While she can donate time to make the blankets, she does not have the funds to purchase materials needed to make the weighted blanks. Each blanket is donated to families with special needs kids/adults that can not afford it, but desperately need it.
To make a toddler size weighted blanket it cost roughly $35 - $50, depending on how much material is on sale for. Feel free to donate materials or money for materials.
Looking for::
**minky, fleece, cotton, flannel or soft/cuddly fabric - One yard or larger for each side.
**Weighted poly pellets (gives the blanket weight)
**Thread (any color)

She also makes weighted lap pads for the older kids in school that have anxiety, adhd, or just need that extra security to calm them down. These wlap blankets are also great for trips in the car!
