Hadlee Rohman HLHS Medical Relief

My daughter Hadlee Mae Rohman was born to this world on October 12th, 2017. She was diagnosed with a rare heart condition known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, or HLHS for short. The aortic valve in her heart was both underdeveloped and blocked, eliminating blood flow to her left ventricle and causing that ventricle to atrophy. Doctors decided that her best chance of sustaining a normal life would be to conduct a series of 3 heart surgeries known as The Norwood Procedure, with the first and most extensive of those surgeries occurring 1 week after birth. They would essentially shut off the left side of her heart and reroute everything to flow through her right side. She’ll have two more surgeries before she is 3 years of age to ensure her heart is strong enough to function as she gets older and grows. Hadlee will be hospitalized for several months while she continues to recover from her first surgery (which went very well according to the surgeon). She continues to fight each day to get bigger and stronger. The outpouring of prayers, love and support from family, friends, acquaintances, and total strangers has been tremendous. Many of you have stated additionally that you’d like to help in some way and have been eagerly standing by awaiting your opportunity to do so. Now is your chance. Medical bills have started rolling in by the thousands of dollars for Hadlee’s surgery/stay at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and will only continue to grow. Any monetary assistance you wish to provide would be beneficial and help ease the financial burden that has begun to accumulate. Your support will cover things such as her heart surgeries, chest x-rays, echocardiograms, medications, and over-night hospital stays.
