Kidney transplant costs

Polycystic kidney disease affects tons of people, it's inherited and incurable. I lost total kidney function in one year and had to start dialysis. My father was helping me financially at 93 yrs old, but he has run out of funds and is selling his only home. I will have to wait 7-10 years for the transplant. With a transplant you can go on and live an extra 10-15 years, so it's a good idea to get one ! 
I went through the whole scenario with my mom, also genetic who died in '95, she opted against transplant and had a pretty awful descent of health for 10 yrs. 
I'm working part time but  can only work two days a week if that. I'm reluctant to ask for money but have often found myself without money for food. I'm still waiting the last six months for disability payments to star but still nothing has come yet.
