Who are we?
We are a group of 14 Hampton University Student Pharmacists embarking on a global mission trip to impact the lives of the people in South Africa. As Hampton University students, we understand the “Standard of Excellence” must extend beyond the borders of our university as well as the United States. With this great mission statement in mind we are inspired to set the standard and pilot the very first student-led mission trip abroad. Our goal is to serve as the beacon light that breaks the fog which hinders students from leaving their safe harbors and entering into unchartered territories.
What is our purpose?
As future Pharmacists, we desire to gain rewarding experiences that will propel us to preeminent heights in our field. Our trip to South Africa will serve as a momentous step in our journey from Student Pharmacist to Pharmacist. This mission trip will allow us to:
-Experience pharmacy practice outside of the United States
-Learn about South African culture
-Impact the lives of children in local orphanages & schools
-Gain a new perspective on life
-Experience the beauty of South African landscapes
-Visit historical sites
How can you help?
Essentially, we are asking you to solidify us as global leaders seeking to impact the world one country at a time. This monumental experience that we desire to attain will cost us $85,000. Via Go Fund Me, we are hoping to gain at least $40,000 by December 31st. Our trip is set for March 7, 2015 – March 16, 2015.
Your contributions will assist us with our expenses including, but not limited to:
Travel expenses:
Flight
Travel Insurance
Hotel Lodgings
Service Activities
Food
Cultural Activities
All contributions made are greatly appreciated and will assist us in making history!
