The Halton Hills Coalition for Refugees (HHCR) is an umbrella organization formed to coordinate the efforts of area residents desiring to participate in the resettlement of refugees.
Presently, the HHCR is focusing on raising funds to support the resettlement of Syrian refugees who have been approved by the Government of Canada.
Under the banner of the HHCR, groups of no less than 15 households are being formed and are collectively contributing no less than $15,000 of their own money towards their sponsorship application. The additional funds required for resettlement ($15k) are being crowd funded through this campaign.
As individual groups are funding 1/2 of the related sponsorship cost, each $15,000 raised through this campaign will support the resettlement of an additional family.
The HHCR is appealing to those who would desire to financially support the efforts of these groups but do not have the capacity to be part of a formal HHCR group.

Funds contibuted offline will be manually added to the GoFundMe campaign to reflect the actual amount of money collected to date.
