Let's HELP LORI STOSSEL BEAT CANCER AND STAY ALIVE!
My mother, Lori Stossel has been diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma also known as Lung Cancer. There is a tumor in her chest that is interfering with one of the arteries in her heart and it has also metastasized (spread) to her brain. It is imperative that she receive treatment immediately, both chemotherapy and radiation, if she is to have any chance at survival.
Due to the location of the tumor in her chest, she is having difficulty breathing properly and is in severe pain. During the course of her treatment, Lori's immune system will be seriously compromised, she will be exhausted, and she will experience periods of extreme nausea. At this time her doctors have determined her to be completely disabled and unable to work. This means that Lori will have no way to pay her mortgage, utilities, food, pet care, or any other normal expenses. So, not only does my mother have to worry about her health and medical expenses, she also has to worry about paying her basic living expenses all while fighting to stay alive. She is in jeopardy of losing her home due to the unexpected loss of income.
Lori Stossel is loved dearly by everyone who knows her and she is an integral foundation stone in our family, one of those people you always know that you can count on to be strong and help. And although my mother is one of the strongest people we know, it is our turn to be strong for her. Her and the family are all staying positive and have complete faith that she will be able to beat this horrible disease.
As a family we are not ones to ask for help, but in this instance we know that we are going to need it in order for my mother to survive and to have a home during her road to recovery.
