This is the story of Kamily (15 yr old orphan) and her 1 year old daughter who need your help for a better chance at life.
Father was murdered, mother died of heart attack, Kamily was orphaned at 8 years old. She was suddenly separated from her 2 siblings as no one in the family had the financial conditions to raise 3 kids together.
Kamily was adopted by her grandmother who is a drug addict, residing in one of the most dangerous favelas (Ghetto) in all of Rio de Janeiro. Lacking basic needs such as food and safety, at 13 she decided to move away and start a life of her own.
Kamily attended a local school until recently. Unfortunately, things headed south when at the age of 14, she fell in love with a boy and Involuntarily fell pregnant! Abortion was not an option as it is illegal in Brazil. She gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl, Myrella. Who she now loves eternally. She is a great and loving mother.
Kamily is no longer with Myrella's father who works on a local farmer's market for less than minimum wage and could not support a family of three.
Sadly, not being able to afford a baby sitter, struggling to pay for a place to live, the single mother had to drop out of school. Things went from bad to worse.
She now has to hustle with side jobs like painting nails, cleaning homes for people on the occasion - Please note the legal working age in Brazil is 16!
Kamily is a very ambitious little girl. She lacks opportunities and needs help changing her path!
She dreams of completing high school in the hopes it will help achieve a decent paying job to support her family in the future.
However, her current situation can not make this happen as it would require financial aid to Myrella's full-time daycare, the rent, food, and the high school fee!
She dreams of leaving the dangerous favela, and owning a small house to provide a safe and sound environment for her daughter. She dreams to be reunited with her 13 year old brother and her 14 year old sister under the same roof and help them be in a safe environment also!
The donations will be used to;
1: Fund her schooling for the next 3 years so she can get out of this vicious cycle life has put her in.
2: Pay the expenses of Myrella’s daycare while she studies.
3: Pay rent in a safe neighborhood
4: Help reunite 3 orphans who were tragically separated 6 years ago.
5: If we reach the goal and the donations are high enough, Kamily will build a small home for her family and siblings to live in.
