(UPDATED May 8, 2013)
Dear Friend,

I pray that this letter finds you and your family well. I am now in my final year at Brown University and expect to graduate with honors in Anthropology and Music this May. The Lord has been doing wonderful things and I know that He will continue to be faithful to finish the good work He has started in me. As I complete this stage of my education, God has given me an opportunity to go on a short-term missions trip with Apostolic Youth Corps (AYC), a ministry of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). I am writing you because I want you to be a part of what God will do in my life and in the lives of many others. I need your help "“ both spiritually and financially.

My freshman year, I co-founded a chapter of Campus Ministry International (CMI) at Brown and have been actively involved with the organization since. CMI reaches out to the college community to help students find what God has planned for them and to those in the city to show people in need that He is able to do great things in their lives. It reaches in, allowing students to build connections with each other and allowing them to engage in critical conversations about what the Bible means for their lives. Above all, CMI reaches up by bringing these students together to worship God and reminding them to be thankful for all He has done.

On July 12, I will be departing on a ten-day mission trip to Peru. During this time, I will be joining fifteen other students from across the United States to collaborate with CMIers in Lima, Arequipa and Juliaca to reach their college campuses with the Gospel. Additionally, we will be reaching out to the residents of these cities to serve them in a variety of capacities. I believe that the work I have done with CMI at Brown has prepared me for this trip and I cannot think of a better way to transition from college to graduate school. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish.

I would first like to ask you to support this trip through prayer. Pray that our Lord would be at the center of our trip, that He will prepare us to minister according to His will and that He will prepare those in Peru to receive His word and blessings. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry in Peru. Without prayer, nothing will happen.

As you can imagine, a trip like this also requires financial support from a number of people. I have reached my first two goals and now need the last $1000 for my final payment by June 1. Should you like to support me financially, you may send a check or money order to 711 Park St., Cranston, RI, 02910. Please make your check or money order payable to Gateway Pentecostal Fellowship and write "AYC Peru-Holly Doerflinger" on the memo line. Contributions made in this fashion will be tax deductible. If you do not want/need a tax deduction, you may donate here (at www.gofundme.com/HDoerfAYCPeru).

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for considering being a part of God's work. It means so much to me! May the Lord bless you and keep your heart close to His.

It's all for Jesus,
