Please join us for a Benefit Dinner and Live Jazz to raise funds towards a purchase of a home for Zatikyan family, who lost their home in a massive earthquake in 1988.
28 years since the tragic event, tens of thousands of people continue to live in makeshift shelters - metal shipping containers originally intended as temporary housing. With no heating or cooling, these containers freeze in the winter and roast in the summer. They have no running water, no plumbing for sewage and are infested with rodents. With a broken local economy, generations have been born into dire poverty and homelessness.
The Zatikyan family of five lives in a makeshift home. Mr. Zatikyan was 14 years old when his family's home was lost in the earthquake. His three teenage children have never known a real home. The family dreams that some day they may have a modest home with a yard to raise cattle and become self-sufficient.
It takes only $15,000 to buy a home for this family. Together, we can make that happen! Please attend the Give a Home Benefit Dinner on June 18 or help with an online donation for the benefit of the Zatikyan family.
