Family Mission Trip to Guatemala City

Anthony & I want to show the kids the real world. We want to teach our children (and oursevles) about truly giving & loving others. We've talked about doing a missions trip for years but we never actually did anything about it.

I heard about a Missions Trip to Guatemala City and noticed that my heart started beating faster. I mentioned it quickly to Anthony and next thing we knew we were signing our family up to go help work with families in poverty in Guatemala.

To be honest, I am nervous. I have only seen pictures of people in extreme poverty on tv. I have never experienced families, parents, and small children actually living in poverty.  The thought alone brings me to tears. We do, however, want to be faithful in where we are feeling that God is leading us and we know that he will provide for us on this trip.

is a non-profit, Christian organization, which seeks to empower and educate families in poverty stricken communities in Guatemala City. Their newly built Restoration Center serves over 1,200 families in a community at the City Dump by providing education programs, Bible studies, community outreach, and leadership training.
