The Global Educator Initiative

Tax deductible

Educating the whole child:

In order to educate the whole child, physical, mental, emotional and academic needs must be met. The Magdaleno Leadership Institute and the Center for Child and Community Development at SMU have partnered to support young Guatemalan leaders who are making a difference in the education of their community through various projects.

One project consists of a group of young ladies working together to renovate and fill their local library of Santa Maria de Jesus in Antigua, Guatemala. The young ladies have developed a well-detailed proposal for their mayor and fellow organizations which explains the need for a dependable library as well as the costs for such a project. They have also held workshops in their community to help parents realize the importance of literacy and how their children can benefit from attending school. Please contact [email redacted] for more information about this initiative.

Your donation is tax deductible in the manner and to the extent provided by the Internal Revenue Code under section 501 (c)(3). After making your contribution, you can expect to receive a receipt for tax deduction purposes. Magdaleno Leadership Institute, a 501c3 non profit organization
