Accepting Christ at 24, I didn't know how to grow my faith, what it all really meant or how God was applicable in life today.
For the next 17 years, I struggled, thinking God was punishing me and didn't really love me. I felt He was constantly testing me and making my life miserable because I couldn't measure up to His rules and expectations found in the Old Testament of the Bible.
Easter of 2011, I was baptized and truly found out how loving our Jesus is when I turned my life completely over to him. He never leaves us or forsakes us. He is always by our side watching as we have free will to choose our decisions. He has taken all the anger, bitterness, judgment, loneliness and deep hurt/pain away from me and filled me with hope, love, peace and renewed vision of an all-loving God. God is strong enough to lift out burdens and loving enough to mend our broken hearts. I learned my value in HIM, instead of what I did for a job, whose mom and wife I was, and all the other things society places on us. After learning my true worth, I had the courage to leave an abusive marriage and find healing. It's now my passion to help others find their value in Christ instead of what our society says we "should be". I love sharing Christ with others who are hurting and watching their lives become transformed by our everlasting God.
I am excited and overwhelmed by the opportunity to walk where Jesus walked, visiting sites such as Sea of Galilee, Capernaum, Bethany, Mt. of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Dead Sea, Pool of Bethesda and many others.
I thank you in advance for your contibutions and prayers for safe travels for Jake and I. Please join us as we embark on the adventure of a lifetime so that we can gain more knowledge and wisdom to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with many others.
