Grief Relief Project Son is Missing

My colleague, Josee Cardinal's son is missing. He is an important member of her family. His name is Gilberto Cardinal-Fernandes. He is 23 years old, 6'4" and weighs approximately 260 lbs. He was a chemistry student at Ottawa University. She loves and misses him. She worries every day, every hour and every minute.
Josee Cardinal - is a widow and a single parent of three (two young adults, one teen). Her twenty three year old son vanished three months ago. She is living what feels like an endless nightmare. She is waiting for him to come through the door or a call that will say you will never see him again.
The last known person he contacted was his roommate, he texted that he was going for a walk and 'not to worry'. The scene just wasn't as it would be; a young person who did not take his cell phone or wallet.
No one has seen him or heard from him in 90 days (as of June 15th).
His family is living in fear and worry over his disappearance.
Here is how you can help them.

Josee Cardinal had to take unpaid leave from work to be near her family, to grieve, to search, to handle her/his affairs and most importantly to keep her strength and keep hope that she will have answers soon. Our goal is to raise funds to replace lost wages, pay for posters and out of pocket expenses involved in searching.
Ask others to 'pay it forward' to Josee (in honour of a good deed someone once did for them) .
Believe Citizens can help. The police are investigating. Did you know in the Quebec area 15 people are reported missing everyday. It is not a crime to go missing. For Gilberto the police tell us anything is possible – some who go missing have committed suicide, get involve with the wrong people, loose their way, some even start a new life somewhere else, sadly some are never found. We can only hope he is safe.
Look at the official police poster of Gilberto with a beard and dreads in a casual setting just prior to his disappearance. If you know anyone in Hull or in the Ottawa University area send them the pictures to view. Gilberto was a chemistry student at University of Ottawa. What is the focus of the investigation? The family needs to get his name and picture out in social media, in the news. There is no governing body who does this. Family, friends and strangers, people like you and I who are willing to help. Send the message that "We care" about the loss of a mother and family; that they feel the horror of the uncertainty.
What is the goal of Grief Relief
Our goal is to raise $2500 house expense money (no insurance covers this) for each month of the search, to alleviate some of her financial responsiblities allowing her to focus on finding her son and to pay out of pocket expenses involved in the search. Any additional funds will go to buying beds for local youth shelter.
