Greyson Beating Leukemia

Tom and Christina Trottier's life was turned upside down on Friday, January 10, 2014 when Christina got a call from daycare that Greyson had fallen, a typical toddler fall, but had bruised very significantly. This prompted a trip to the pediatrician and some blood work and short wait. Then a call from the doctor's office came, which is every parent's worst nightmare. Greyson was taken to Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse that night for a blood tranfusion, platelet transfusion, bone marrow biopsy and blood smear, which confirmed that nightmare. Greyson has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He is the 20 month old. He will begin chemotherapy and will continue it daily for 28 days. During this time Greyson will be fighting hard. His mommy, daddy, big brother, McKennon and twin brother, Jameson will be supporting and caring for him as well as his extended family and friends. The plan as of now is to have chemotherapy once a week for 6-8 months and then once a month for approximately 2 years. By that time Greyson WILL have beat ALL. His family is facing many costs during this time including medical expenses, many trips to Syracuse, time off work as well as keeping Greyson and his brothers happy and healthy.
