Greg's Fight Against Cancer

Last year, Greg Peterson, our friend and long time Hawaii resident, discovered that he had advanced stage Pancreatic Cancer.  Losing over 100 pounds down to 130 within a matter of months, Greg has since slowly battled back with proper diet, chemotherapy, medical assistance and lots of love from his family and friends.  During this transition, Greg has not been able work and maintain his position as one of Kona's most endearing restaurant managers.  If anyone ever needed a smile and hug, Greg was always the first one to dip into his bag of aloha. 

One year later, between loss of income, costs for medicines treatment, rent and basic neccessities, the need is even greater. It's been a daunting journey - but one of hope.  There's good news lately.  Greg's slow improvement is defying the odds.  His blood cell numbers have improved and, as of August 2017, he's gained a few pounds back.  Ever hopeful, he continues to persevere through his daily contacts with friends, family and his love of painting.
