Our Family home destroyed by fire

After over 50 years of building a life filled with wonderful moments and memories, in a safe and secure environment, my beloved parents' home in Barbados was taken away from them in a devastating fire on February 22, 2016 in the early hours of the morning.
The fire, in a matter of moments, took away everything they have worked for, saved, bought and created to make a happy home for my sister and I. While it was the living space of my parents, sister, brother-in-law and my brand new baby nephew - their home was so much more to us and many others. It has always been the gathering spot for our large extended family's holiday get-togethers and a place where my sister's friends and my friends always gravitated to hang out. Everyone filling it with laughter and love each and every day.
While we are grateful that we have each other and no lives were lost, we are honestly overwhelmed and devastated that with the exception of a few items, my parents possessions, as well as those of my sister, brother-in-law and nephew have been lost.
. This is truly the toughest test our family have ever been through in our lives.
So after countless telephone calls, Facebook messages, WhatsApps and texts from countless friends asking how they can help us, it was suggested we set up a GoFundMe account for those persons who wish to lend our family their support. For my very private family, losing our home has become a very public experience. The money will be used to help us just truly begin the process of putting the pieces of our life back together. To begin to replace basic living needs items for a family of five.
We want to thank each and everyone who has called us, prayed with us, passed by in these early stages of this traumatic experience to just hug on us, sit with us, drop off pampers for the baby, bring a toothbrush or a T-shirt or a sandwich, as we try to figure out how to move forward and rebuild. The road ahead is going to be long, hard and tough but with your help and our faith we will endure.
