Grandfather of 14 with Multiple Myeloma

My name is Melissa. I am one of five children to a wonderful man who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. My father dedicated his life to raising a beautiful family and unfortunately in the worst of times we just cannot afford to pay for cancer treatments.

After over 20 years of giving his life to the car industry, the economy shut its doors and with it, his livelihood. No one wanted to hire a 52 year old man. He struggled to find a job and when he found that, they had terrible insurance that would have taken a majority of his paycheck which was sorely needed. He opted out and because he does not have any dependents the state refused his request for Medicare.
So here we are, facing cancer and a mountain of bills we are unable to comprehend let alone begin to pay. We need your help!! Anything at all, the smallest donation will work. Please help my dad. He has 14 young grandbabies and I still plan to dance with him at my wedding.
****MM is not curable but it is one of the best cancers if you had to choose because they can put it into remission for a very long length of time. I wanted to clear up all misconceptions on MM. It certainly isn't terminal for my father. We've caught it in the beginning stages but it still must be cared for like all other cancers and the sooner the treatment, the better his chances of going into remission.***
We have applied for Social Security disability but that will take 4-5 months to kick in and Medicare will not accept him until SSD does. Until that time some of his care must be paid for up front - not to mention his and my mothers day to day living. Even your prayers are greatly appreciated and loved during these times. I would love to read your comments and support.
