Heart and Soul Group is a Volunteer based food relief group that has now grown to assist over 2600 people every single week, in 5 different locations across Adelaide.
We distribute free fruit, veg, bakery and pantry items to attendees.
Fresh fruit and vegetables, bakery and pantry items are available for attendees to choose for themselves. Market days are held in Hackham, Queenstown, Elizabeth, Two Wells and, soon, Murray Bridge.
Discounted snack foods and other extras are available to be purchased from the dollar tables.
Our vision is to create a South Australia where food is not wasted and no one goes hungry.
2 days ago, whilst our team of Volunteers were redistributing food to people in need at our Elizabeth market, some less than desirable "people" were at our Hackham West location torching our beloved Refrigerated Truck "Ruby".
Since then, we've had to cancel our Two Wells market, with all other markets now in jeapordy.
In order for us to continue to meet the demand, we require the rental of a refrigerated truck.
We are hoping our amazing community will come together & help us in raising the funds to cover the rental.
