Christian Marcano es un joven venezolano de 25 años que debido a la crisis humanitaria de su país, decidió en el 2016 emigrar a España buscando obtener nuevas oportunidades y poder llevar a cabo una vida digna. Christian se ha destacado por elaborar deliciosos Sushis, habilidad que lo ha llevado a trabajar en diferentes restaurantes de Madrid, Granada y Marbella, ciudad en la que vive actualmente.
Como muchos de los venezolanos, que viven lejos de su país y familia, Christian es un joven luchador y trabajador que a pesar de las dificultades siempre mantiene una sonrisa en la cara y una excelente actitud ante la vida.
En septiembre del 2020, saliendo de su trabajo para irse a su casa en su moto, Christian fue interceptado por un coche, dándose éste a la fuga y dejándolo tendido en el suelo con múltiples fracturas y al borde de la muerte. Fue llevado de urgencia al hospital Costa del Sol en Marbella y trasladado al Hospital Carlos Haya en Málaga, donde fue atendido para salvarle la vida, después de estar 4 semanas en coma en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, logró estabilizarse a pesar del pronóstico reservado que los médicos mantenían, fue trasladado a una habitación para su recuperación hasta el 14 de noviembre ya que por contagio de Covid19 solicitamos un alta voluntaria para cumplir una cuarentena ya que no era conveniente que lo aislaran debido a su estado de conciencia y desorientación y la atención que demandaba de parte nuestra.
Aunque el centro de salud le ha salvado la vida, también se la han puesto en riesgo ya que desde el 21 de octubre estábamos en lista de espera de la cirugía del área maxilofacial por más de mes y medio, varias veces fuimos luego de cumplir la cuarentena, intentando retomar las cirugías faltantes y nos mandaban a casa porque debíamos asistir a un centro de salud a realizar la prueba del covid, para ello debíamos esperar que el médico de cabecera se pusiera en contacto.
El 12 de diciembre fuimos a urgencias por apnea de sueño y porque el ojo que había tenido estallido ocular supuraba, lo revisaron y mandaron a casa afirmando que aunque estaban pendientes intervenciones médicas y quirúrgicas no eran de gravedad. El 27 de diciembre fuimos a un hospital privado usando su seguro privado y en los exámenes que le realizaron aparecía celulitis ocular grave con amenaza a a convertirse en meningitis debido a la extensión de la infección que no fue tratada a tiempo, estando hospitalizado y con tratamiento antibiótico a Christian le dio una convulsión y tuvo que ser trasladado a la UCI para ser sedado y controlado, en ese momento el seguro privado que ya había dado la aprobación a su ingreso y cirugía se enteró por el personal de la clínica u hospital privado que era paciente por accidente de moto y rechazaron de inmediato su ingreso negándose a cubrir los gastos de hospitalización por un monto total de 4800€, que no teníamos para cancelar.
Debido a la situación económica que tenemos, el 30 de diciembre tuvo que ser trasladado al hospital Carlos Haya por 2da vez para que fuera atendido e intervenido dada la gravedad de su infección, pero el equipo médico de maxilofacial que lo revisaron e hicieron exámenes afirmaban que no era de urgencias, estuvimos hospitalizados por 10 días y nos dieron de alta con un tratamiento antibiótico en casa mientras la infección permanecía existente.
El 14 de enero 1 semana después de haber estado de alta, tuvimos un episodio muy fuerte debido a que Christian tuvo más de 1hora y 30 min con convulsiones una tras otra sin parar y la ambulancia no llegaba, una vez llegaron lo revisaron estabilizaron y trasladaron al hospital costal del sol de marbella donde estuvo internado en la UCI por dos días nuevamente sedado y realizando exámenes porque podría presentarse la meningitis por infección otra vez. Cuando lo estabilizaron y controlaron la infección lo trasladaron nuevamente al hospital carlos haya por 3era vez donde tuvo que ser intervenido por médicos neurocirujanos debido a que la infección se expandió al lóbulo frontal derecho del cerebro y por el equipo médico de maxilofacial para la extracción parcial del ojo donde tuvieron que quitar los músculos oculares que se pudieron haber conservado y también las celdillas etmoidales de la nariz dejándolo sin tabique.
Christian sigue requiriendo de cirugía maxilofacial debido a que no puede respirar por la nariz, no tiene tabique y presenta apnea de sueño, de manera tal que las noches se vuelven angustiosas y largas debido a la interrupción respiratoria constante.
Igualmente es necesario que realice la rehabilitación física que estábamos cubriendo de manera privada ya que el hospital no nos han dado cita para dar inicio a su rehabilitación, en este momento no recibe apoyo profesional debido a que no contamos con los recursos económicos ya que el se encuentra imposibilitado y yo no poseo ningún tipo de documentación que me permita generar ingresos economicos, estamos contando con el apoyo de unconocido para la estadía, traslado y alimentos.
Aunque él sigue mantendiendo ese espíritu de lucha y la misma actitud ante la vida, nos vemos en la necesidad de pedirles ayuda a través de GOFUNDME, para hacer frente a los gastos que requiere todo este proceso, solo deseamos cerrar este ciclo amargo, restablecer nuestras vidas y ayudar a Christian a que recupere en la medidade sus posibilidades su vida.

Christian had a seizure and had to be transferred to the ICU to be sedated and controlled, at that time the private insurance that had already approved his admission and surgery learned from the staff of the private clinic or hospital that he was patient due to a motorcycle accident and immediately refused admission, refusing to cover hospitalization costs for a total amount of € 4,800, which we did not have to cancel.

It is also necessary to carry out the physical rehabilitation that we were covering privately since the hospital has not given us an appointment to start his rehabilitation, at this time he does not receive professional support because we do not have the financial resources since he is He is disabled and I do not have any type of documentation that allows me to generate economic income, we are counting on the support of an acquaintance for the stay, transfer and food.
