<div><strong>"Help Us Secure a Home for Downs &amp; Special Friends at Batley Baths!"</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For years, <a href="https://www.downsandspecialfriends.org" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong><em>Downs and Special Friends</em></strong></a> has been a beacon of hope and inclusion for individuals with Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD and other diagnosed or undiagnosed disabilities and special needs in our community. We’ve worked tirelessly to provide programs, support, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most. But now, we’re on the brink of something truly transformative—a place we can call <strong>home</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our Vision: A Home for Everyone</strong>
</div>
<div>We’ve identified Batley Baths as the perfect location to establish a permanent home for our charity. This historic building isn’t just a space for us—it’s a hub for the entire community. By securing Batley Baths, we’ll create a vibrant, inclusive space where individuals with special needs can thrive, and where the whole community can come together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why Batley Baths?</strong>
</div>
<div>Batley Baths is more than just a building; it’s a symbol of community, resilience, and opportunity. With its central location and rich history, it’s the ideal place to:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Expand Our Programs: </strong>From life skills workshops to recreational activities, we’ll have the space to grow and serve more individuals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Host Community Events:</strong> We’ll open our doors to the wider community, fostering inclusion and connection for all.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Create a Safe Haven:</strong> A permanent home means stability and security for the individuals and families who rely on us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Challenge: Community Asset Transfer</strong>
</div>
<div>We’re currently going through the Community Asset Transfer process with Kirklees Council to secure Batley Baths. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but we need your help to make it a reality. The costs involved in this process—and in renovating and maintaining the building—are significant, and we can’t do it alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help:</strong>
</div>
<div>Your donation will directly support:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Legal and administrative costs associated with the Community Asset Transfer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Renovations and accessibility upgrades to ensure Batley Baths is a welcoming space for everyone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ongoing maintenance and operational costs to keep the building running for years to come.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Our Promise:</strong>
</div>
<div>With your support, we’ll transform Batley Baths into a thriving community hub—a place where individuals with Special needs can flourish, and where the entire community can come together to learn, grow, and connect.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Join Us in Making History:</strong>
</div>
<div>This is our chance to create a lasting legacy for our charity and our community. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to securing a home for Downs &amp; Special Friends. Please contribute today and share our fundraiser with your friends, family, and networks. Together, we can make Batley Baths a place we can all be proud to call <strong><em>home</em></strong>.
