Ashley is doing amazing things this year, she is on the AP track as a Junior at Bishop McNamara with a 4.597/5.0 GPA and excelling beyond my wildest expectation. She has been inducted into numerous honor societies and earned various awards. Ashley is even featured in the Bishop McNamara recruitment video. She is still a Varsity cheerleader also.
During spring break we visited Georgia Tech and I saw Ashley light up. She has decided to Major in Bio-Medical Engineering and wants to attend GTech next fall.
This summer she applied to and has been accepted to 3 - Summer programs: Naval Academy, University of Maryland and Georgia Tech! She will attend the Naval Academy STEM Seminar for a week in June.
Her other desire is to attend the Georgia Tech 3-week Summer Engineer Institute... attending will really give her a leg up for admittance this fall; especially since GTech only accepts 40% of its students from out of state.
As money is not as free flowing as it has been... I will likely be downsized in my current role as the result of a buyout in the fall. I am asking for help from our village to raise the fee for her to attend this summer program. The program is $1500 + a round trip plane ticket. Of course I can pay some of it, but could really use everyone's support in helping to ensure Ashley gets to Atlanta in July.
The fee is due a month from today, June 15th. Thank you in advance for whatever you can give, your generosity is priceless... as a single mom my FB family and others have always supported me and my children. Praise report - Alex is doing amazing at the US Naval Academy!!!
