Witness for Tibetan life stories

My mission is to Travel to Nepal and stay at a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery for a month in order to deepen my understanding of the cultural belief system and be a witness for the life stories of the nuns and monks. China invaded Tibet in 1958, and I would like to provide witness to the experience as lived by various Tibetan populations no longer living in their home country. This trip is only a fraction of the population that I would like to reach. There is a psychological healing that occurs in simply listening to and acknowledging an individuals life experience and I would like to offer that listening to as many Tibetans who have experienced the loss of their country as possible. On my return I intend to write a book documenting and sharing the stories that I capture. There are many life changing events occurring all over the world, and while each scenario may be different, the underlying human experience of life altering events connects us all. This is only a small stepping stone. Who's life story can you bear witness to in your immediate circle? The contribution that you make in simply listening may be greater than you know. =)
