Help Us Give Back What Cancer Took

Donation protected
CANCER. The word every person dreads hearing. Let alone the parents of a seven year old little girl. Cancer. That was what we were dealing with. Julia was 7
when she was diagnosed with a High grade priphiheal nerve sheath soft tissue sarcoma and given 2 months to live. She bravely battled it and thanks to the team
of specialists at Johns Hopkins she was deemed "tumor free" a year later. The kind of cancer that Julia has will never be considered "in remission" and is considered terminal. It has an 85% chance of returning and she has a 35% chance of developing a secondary cancer from the treatments she was given to battle it
to begin with.

We left Baltimore buying time with Julia and eternally grateful for her life. What we did not leave Balitimore with was Julia's hair, a perfectly functioning heart, or painfree bones. Julia's treatment protocol was such a heavy dose of chemo and radition that it left her with extensive heart damage,a lifetime of bone pain, 30% of her left arm gone from the tumor removal, and the lose of her hair.  We can't fix the heart damage, restore her arm, or alleviate the bone pain, but we can help boost her self esteem and repair her dignity by giving her, her hair back.

We have found a company based in LA that specializes in hair restoration post chemo, that not only will immediately provide Julia with virtually undetable
hair extensions, but will also care for her hair and scalp health for a year after she starts treatment with them. They will provide upkeep of her hair extensions while simualtaneously treating the underliying causes for her hair not growing properly. Their goal is to have Julia's extensions removed at the end of the year and Julia having a head full of healthy shoulder length hair of her own.

This treatment involves purchasing of hair extensions to match Julia's natural hair, medical costs for the treatments to get her own hair growing back naturally,
and travel expenses, as well as payment to her hair specialist. Normal costs of this treatment is up to 5,0000 not including travel expenses back and forth from Nashville to Los Angeles every three months for a year.

Julia is now 12yrs old, a preteen, going on teen. And as we all are painstakingly aware and would probably like to forget most of it, the teen years can be quite brutal even as a "normal" teen. We are asking for your help, as Julia's childhood years were spent battling cancer, to please give Julia a shred of "normallacy" by letting
her live out her teens with her hair, dignity, and a normal self esteem, that of which she does not have at this time.

Julia has spent the last four years, post chemo, wishing, hoping, and praying that her hair would finally grow back and she would feel like a normal kid again.
Unfortunately, for four years her prayers have gone unanswered, until now. This Christmas, we dedicded that we would do everything in our power to make this dream a reality for a much deserving special child.

Julia is my best friend and if I could cut of all my hair and put it on her head, I gladly would, it just doesn't work
quite like that. My mother and I have spent countless hours researching how to help make this happen for Julia and we finally have found what seems to an answer.

Giving to this cause will not only give Julia back her hair dignity, and self esteem, but will be restoring her faith in a world once lost to her- A world where the possibilities are endless, and miracles happen everyday.
