Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC)
Alzheimer’s Community Care (ACC) was established in 1996 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization to provide a dementia-specific, community-based system of care for Alzheimer’s patients and their family caregivers. Recognizing that Alzheimer’s is a family disease, and that the stress of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease affects the health of the caregiver, ACC’s model of care places an equal focus on the needs of both patients and caregivers. ACC’s dementia-specific care helps patients maintain quality of life after the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and gives caregivers the tools and education to care for their loved ones at home and in the community. Specialized services include:

11 Specialized Adult Day Centers, providing daily respite for both patients and caregivers;
Family Nurse Consultants, helping caregivers navigate the disease with education and resources;
ID Locator Bracelets, allowing local law enforcement to quickly locate patients who wander away from home;
Case Managers, working with families to identify and access funding for services;
24-Hour Crisis Line, connecting families in crisis to immediate assistance;
Education and Training, providing families, patients, caregivers, staff, law enforcement, students and other members of the community with the latest education on Alzheimer’s disease and related neurocognitive disorders.

Ella’s Closet/ Lighthouse Café
With a mission to provide the families of young children with life-saving skills such as CPR, educational workshops, mentoring, and basic provisions for their infants and children, Ella's Closet opened its doors in 2015 as a ministry of the Light House Cafe located in Belle Glade, FL. Full of clothing, baby gear, toiletries, formula, diapers, and much more, the walls of Ella's Closet are stocked full of everything you could think of for infants and children through five years of age!

Officially founded in 1993, the mission of the Light House Café is to transform the Glades area through God's grace, love, and peace, by bringing together diverse groups to provide food, counseling and a helping hand to all. We want our ministries to help bridge denominational and racial barriers for the benefit of the entire community by bringing Christian congregations throughout the Glades together to minister to those in need.

Located in the heart of Belle Glade, Florida, our doors are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to noon. Each day the Light House Café is open, our dedicated volunteers prepare balanced hot meals from food donated by the Feeding South Florida Food Bank, local farmers, local churches, and individuals throughout the community. All meals served are free to anyone who comes in. Although the Light House Café is known as a soup kitchen, we strive to give much more than just food to those in need. We want to provide sustenance for the body and soul of individuals, as well as offer counseling and a helping hand to those in need. In addition to serving food, the Light House Café extends its provisions through the outreach of Ella's Closet, and by offering a helping hand to individuals interested in entering a Christian drug and alcohol recovery program.
