Girl Power 6 is a Destination Imagination team of elementary school girls who are working to raise $6,400 to pay their way to an international creative problem-solving competition in May. After winning at both the regional and state tournaments, the team qualified to advance to the Global competition in Knoxville, TN on May 22, 2013. While representing their school is a priceless experience, it will take a lot to make it happen - so we need you!

Girl Power 6 is one of the few independent teams in MA receiving no financial support from their school or their district. They are now working to raise the $6,400 it will take to make it to Knoxville.
How Will We Spend the Money We Raise?
The money we raise will be spent to send the six team members, team manager and two chapperones to Knoxville. Airfare has already been paid by the families. Your donations will cover the cost of housing, meals and fees for the five days and nights they are there.
What's Destination Imagination All About?
Girl Power 6 will compete with other teams in the "In Disguise" challenge, one of seven difficult, open-ended DI challenges that require elementary through college-aged students to work through the nine month competition season on solving a problem by applying skills ranging from engineering and construction to improvisation, theater arts, communication and teamwork. Team solutions must be team generated; any outside ideas and suggestions are "interference" even from their team manager or parents.
Destination Imagination teams that advance past Regional and state/country (Affiliate) tournaments are invited to participate in Global Finals"”the world's largest celebration of creativity.
Global Finals is the culminating event of every Destination Imagination season. In May, over 1,200 teams from teams from 45 states, 7 Canadian provinces and 13 countries gather to showcase their Challenge solutions. Over 15,000 people attend Global Finals to celebrate creativity and have fun.
