Carlton Complex Destroys Home

Donation protected
On July 17th, the Carlton Complex Fire completely destroyed the Ginter family's home along with their possessions.

The Ginters have 5 sons. They lived in a simple log home that was off the grid and used propane. The home was built by their grandparents over forty years ago. They did not have insurance.

Please help us support our friends in the aftermath of this devastation. See below to learn more about this family and what impact you can have.

What is left of their home:

The Ginters have worked hard to educate their boys and nurture their interests.  Three of the four boys still living at home attend Pateros HS.  Slade (12) loves the rodeo; he started with sheep and now is a competitive bull rider.  Jesse (14) dreams of becoming a logger, and had just returned from an Idaho logging camp.  He has been slowly gathering equipment and tools for his future occupation, but all were destroyed in the fire.  (We can’t think of any other 14 year old who is currently working and saving in preparation for his future the way Jesse has been doing for over a year now). Wyatt (16) is known for helping his fellow neighbors, building fences, clearing debris, digging trenches, and the like. Garrett (18) placed 4th in wrestling in WA state. He is an art welder and known throughout the Methow Valley for his astounding creations. The eldest son, Dalton (20), recently married his college sweetheart and finished his studies to become a minister.

Brian and Lorraine Ginter are both active members of their community and are determined to rebuild their home themselves.  Between the 7 family members, they have the skills to do it, and they need our help to gather the resources.

We’ve set up this GoFundMe account to help them purchase materials to build a new home. Any donation will help them.

Thank you.

[All funds will go directly to the Ginter family except the modest fee deducted by GoFundMe]
