Hello Friends and Family!
I hope you all are having a great day! As many of you know, my name is Falyn Page and I am a rising senior at the University of Missouri studying Convergence Television Reporting & Multimedia Producing.
"Communicating” has been my gift since elementary school. Fortunately, I’ve had numerous platforms, which have helped me develop and hone my craft (from anchoring my high school and church news broadcasts, to interning with CNN's National Content Desk , and even producing a bi-weekly international show, Global Journalist).
I love to meet new people and learn about other cultures. Since the age of 8, I’ve been afforded opportunities to participate in countless activities that have allowed me to learn how to live with and love all types of people! From my journey across the world to my People to People host family in China to my introduction of Former Secretary of State General Colin Powell at the Presidential Inauguration…each meeting was memorable, each encounter was inspirational, and each experience unique.
My travels have introduced me to appreciate the freedoms we’re blessed to possess in the USA. As a first-hand witness of limited independence in foreign countries, I don’t take anything for granted. Every day and everything is a blessing…a gift…and I intend to unwrap the present of my life and use my time wisely.
Recently, I was chosen for Mizzou's Journalism Study Abroad Program to Beijing, China! I have the opportunity to return to China (September 23 to October 8th) and represent Mizzou while also living out my dream and reporting at The China Open, one of the largest tennis tournaments in the world!
Coco Chanel once said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different”. Therefore, I strive to be a sponge and absorb a ‘little something’ from everyone I meet. You see, we’re all different, blessed with various talents and abilities. But, we’re all part of one body—one world—and as the acronym TEAM suggests: Together, Everyone Achieves More!
That is why I need YOUR help!
