Get Dave "Back in the Saddle"

If ANYONE knows Dave, they know he's one of the most generous people ON THE PLANET!!! I've heard many stories of him helping others out when they were in need or when someone just couldn't quite afford the trip. He SELFLESSLY gives whenever he sees an opportunity, and I feel compelled to reciprocate! Back in 2015 (or about then) he suffered a nasty bike crash that resulted in shoulder reconstruction. Since then, he has not had much desire to get back "in the saddle"/on a bike.
In honor of the MANY trips to Moab he has lead/funded/GIVEN to others over the past 10-20 years, I would like to get him a bike that will help him on the road to getting back in the saddle! As ANY mountain biker will tell you, the climb UP the hill is often the "crux" or hardest part of getting back into biking. Dave could use a little extra help getting up those hills these days, and I think this bike will help him.

This bike will help Dave get back in "biking shape" as well as help alleviate some of the pain his shoulder gives him since his accident. Help me bless a man that has blessed SO MANY without EVER thinking of himself!! If you can't afford to donate, then please share ANY story you have of Dave blessing you to help people see how generous he is.
IF you EVER went on one of his "famous" Moab trips, feel free to share... I'm guessing MOST people will remember the Velveta dip if NOTHING else!!!
Also, let's keep this a "secret" from Dave... I think he would greatly appreciate the effort/gift, however I also know that he'd INSIST on spending the money on someone else! IF we can meet this goal, I'm planning on surprising him with the bike/an invite to go back to Moab(hopefully this summer)!!! Any extra money (the bike itself is $4500, however I believe there will be fees associated with the "campaign") will be used to send Dave on a trip to Moab/Fruita. If you know of someone that would like to contribute either with a story or even financially, please share this with them.
