Emergency Relief for Employees - Gene's Restaurant

Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic (COVID-19), Gene's Restaurant is now limited to takeout orders, which means that practically all of our employees are left without a means of income, except for minimal monies coming from unemployment insurance, if any at all.
Danny and I are asking, that those that have the means, to please consider making a donation to our staff so they may survive this arduous and unprecedented time. With no end in site, this pandemic has effectively put Gene's out of business for an indeterminate period, and as such, has left our employees without a paycheck...without an income..without a way to support their families.
Gene's Restaurant is celebrating its 101st anniversary. For the past 40 years our family has owned and operated Gene's, and some of our employees have been with us from the beginning, others not as long, but decades nonetheless. But all of them....busboys, dishwashers, wait staff, bartender, cooks and chef....are part of our extended family.
Danny and I did not easily arrive at the decision to set up this GoFundMe but our employees are loyal, hard workers and, like so many others, they did not bring this upon themselves. Any assistance that can be provided to them will make a difference.
No contribution is too small, and is greatly appreciated. Hopefully, when this pandemic eventually passes, we will come out of this stronger, gentler and wiser, and then we can all celebrate together at Gene's!
