Multiple Sclerosis treatment
My name is Gene Fisher. I spent 13 years in the Air Force and was discharged in 1979. I continued my education at Memphis State University, receiving a degree in accounting. I passed the CPA exam and worked for some time in auditing/accounting firms.
I developed multiple sclerosis in the early 1980s. Mine was initially the relapsing/remitting type but quickly developed into the secondary progressive. I went from walking with a stumble to using a cane, then on to a walker, and then, probably in the mid to late nineties, started using my wheelchair. Since that time the wheelchair is my only option. Needless to say I am unemployable at this time.
I'm hoping to raise enough money to allow me to travel to Panama for stem cell treatment. This treatment uses the cells from umbilical cords only from full-term natural births. While it is not 100% perfect I have followed some of the histories of their patients and I am hoping for good results. The procedure itself cost 21,000+.
Naturally, I hope to do this as soon as possible. Any and all contributions would be greatly appreciated. Should I receive more funds the necessary I will refund donations (less gofundme's commission)to you.
This is a link to the clinics webpage. There you can find more information about the procedure as well as info on some of their patients.
