I am so humbled and elated to announce that on June 1, 2011, I was accepted into the Class of 2011 at the Women\'s Campaign School at Yale University! SUMMARY/FACTS about WCSYL: The Women\'s Campaign School at Yale University is a non-partisan, issue neutral leadership program, whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe.
DONATION REQUEST: The money collected will go towards my tuition ($1,250), *hotel/lodging (approximately $1,100) and airfare (from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands to New Haven, CT @ approximately $800).
You can also support me by donating airline miles.
UPDATE (6.18.11): Thanks to a very wonderful person!! I received an AA (Advantage Miles) donation valued at $500. I simply have to make it from La Guardia Airport to New Haven via train:) and will use a connect service. The train trip and connect service costs just approximately $110. So I have updated by original request.
*UPDATE (6.20.11): Great news! My hotel lodging is now approximately $650.
