Hello and thank you for visiting my donation page!
This Labor Day weekend I will be competing for the title of Miss Illinois USA! I am very excited for this year’s competition as I have put a lot of work and effort into preparing myself to compete. Competing for Miss Illinois has changed my life for the better as I strive to cultivate the qualities of poise, grace and eloquence. I believe these qualities to be significant in any young woman and I am blessed to see what an incredible impact they have made in my life.
Winning the title of Miss Illinois USA would mean the world to me as I see it as the opportunity to showcase the difference that intelligent and beautiful women can make in the world. With a technical background in accounting and finance, a passion for public speaking, a love for serving others and the dream of utilizing these skills in the best way possible I really believe that I will be a strong competitor and ultimately take home the title.
A lot goes into preparing for the pageant! Contestants not only work hard to cultivate themselves personally but spend time practicing for individual interviews, stage presentation and the on-stage questions. We find and compete in our wardrobe (evening gown, swimsuit and interview), pay pageant fees, and may even invest in hiring a coach. As you can see, aside from the actual pageant fee there are many costs involved in participation.
I am looking to raise $2,500. This cost will cover the fee of the pageant (which is a significant portion of the money raised) as well as the cost of a dress, accessories and perhaps some lessons. I am trying hard to function on a reasonable budget for the dress and accessories but the fee of the pageant is my main concern. I am asking for your help in the funding of my dream and any size donation is greatly appreciated.
I thank you for your consideration and donation toward helping me achieve my dream. I have worked very hard for this pageant and greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!
They say that pageants teach the exact same skills that sports do: goal setting, “can do” attitude and performance under pressure. But in pageants you wear much better shoes!
