Jesus' Medical & Memorial Fund

Making people laugh is what my dad, Jesus/Jhessy Gaviola, was really good at. His charisma always radiated and he had an amazing gift of making  feel like apart of the family. He was simply known as "dad" complete with the corny dad-jokes that he kept in his back pocket.


For the past few months, my dad has undergone an unbelievable journey. During his stay at West Houston Hospital, he was dubbed as a "medical mystery." His resilience and will to survive was immeasurable. From a lobectoby, pneumonectomy, being septic, and having pseudomonas infection, he fought through it all. His doctors, nurses, and therapists loved his positivity and sense of humor which made him the comedian and dad of the ICU floor. During this time, my mom has stepped away from her job to be with my dad at the hospital full time. They were the "mom & dad" that the staff loved.


After over three months of rollercoaster journey, on Saturday, June 3rd, our Lord has called my dad home. At only 55 years old, his will to survive was incredibly strong, but his body could no longer take the beating. The comedian and "dad" of the ICU floor has retired and now taking center stage in heaven.




OUR ASK
$200,000 might seem high, but that is only a small fraction of his medical fees. Having been in the ICU for almost 3+ months and many surgeries, testing, and procedures later, the exorbitant fees have piled up.  An average night of stay in the ICU is $2,500+ alone. We may not raise every single dollar needed to help pay what insurance will not cover but every little bit helps.

During this very difficult time, we have been relying on God, our family, our friends, and our community for strength and support.
