Helping one of our own

One of our own, Gavin Edgerton a maintenance employee here at the Lake needs your help.  On Monday night, his home on Sledge Road was destroyed by an electrical fire.  Unfortunately, he did not have renters insurance.  Gavin, his wife, and two children lost everything.

This follows a six month ordeal of healing from a motorcycle accident on Sledge Road where his foot was severed to just about being lost.  He has had several surgeries on this and was out of work for quite some time.  2017 has not been his year!

Gavin is a great asset to our community as a member of our dynamic maintenance crew.  He needs our help.

First, they need to find a 3bd/2ba home to rent in the Edward Best school district.  If anyone has availability or knows someone that does, let us know.

Second, once they find a home, they are going to need to replace everything they had.  Furniture, clothing, personal items, and everyday living items.  Like starting out in your first apartment or home. 

Third, Christmas is right around the corner.  With having to replace these items, there is not going to be much to spend on presents for his wife and two children.  Maybe our hearts will open our wallets a little wider with this in mind.

This is what we are seeking to help him with.  The costs are going to be more than what we have posted as a goal, but we would like to take care of one our own the best we can.

We would like to reach this goal by 11-24-2017 so that we can present him with the funds right after Thanksgiving.
