Gary Miller's Medical Expenses
On October 17th, 2016 we received the devastating news that our father had Stage 4 prostate cancer that spread to his bones. After his diagnosis we quickly started his care here in Toledo, Ohio but ultimately decided his case would be best suited at the Cleveland Clinic.
To date, Dad's grueling journey has included hormone management through pills and injections, 10 radiation treatments to his spine, and six chemo therapy sessions. Sadly, in June we found out his body stopped responding to these therapies and his health has rapidly declined. The progression of his cancer has caused debilitating pain, drastic weight loss, and generalized weakness limiting his activity in day to day life.
As Dad's health is in crisis his medical expenses continue to rise through multiple trips to Cleveland for follow-up care, several ER visits locally for symptom management , prescriptions, and medical imaging (MRI's, bone scans, CT scans, and X-rays). Most recently, he was transferred from the Toledo hospital to the Cleveland Clinic late Friday night due to lack of mobility of his legs. He will remain under the care of his oncology team there until his medications are sorted and he stabilizes.
Anyone that knows our father knows he is one of the most kind-hearted and caring individuals that has always gone out of his way to help others. Please consider sponsoring Dad in his time of need and help contribute to his continued fight for his life. Any monetary donations can be accepted via this account or sent directly to their mailing address. Your support with his ongoing medical expenses is greatly appreciated.
