Gabriellas medical expenses

Hello,

My name is Gabriella and this week I will be 11 weeks old. I am such a happy little baby and I sure do love to eat! :) My mommy found out in Jauary 2012 while I was still in her belly, that I had severe hydrocephalus and ventriculomegaly. Simply meaning extra fluid on the brain that causes damaging pressure. Mommy was so upset and had a difficult time during the rest of her pregnancy. Things progressed and I ended up being born by c-section on February 29, 2012 (Leap year day) which is my Grammy's birthday as well! I was born at 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. I was immediately brought to the NICU as we were prepared for a shunt placement in my brain the following day. 

So many tests were done on my brain on my very first day of life. My neurosurgeon came back and told mommy that I didnt need a shunt (hurray) because I was not showing signs of any pressure. However, when in utero they did not see that I had blood in my ventricles as well as two holes in the front left of my brain. My diagnosis are: Ventriculomegaly (enlarged ventricles), Periventricular leukomalacia (blood in my ventricles caused by a bleed in utero), the bleed caused damage to my brain causing two porencephalic cysts (holes filled with fluid in place of brain that is no longer there in those areas). My biggest battle coming is the two holes in my brain almost always cause cerabal palsy so I am being followed by a physical therapist, neurosurgeon, travelling nurse, NICU development team and then my regualr pediatrician. SOOO many doctor appointments all the time :( but I am happy to say I am growing very well! I now weigh over 14lbs and am a little over 24.5 inches long.

 My ONLY option is to have my own cord blood from birth infused into my little body. Basically what happens is the cells that created me (the purest and most perfect cells) will be infused into my body which will then regenerate cells that have been damaged in my brain. It will also help with low muscle tone and strengthen any weekened are of my body and best outcome is: NO CEREBRAL PALSY!! Research shows the AMAZING results of cord blood and how well it works especially with babies in my situation!! This is my best chance to beat this thing and mommy wants to give me every best possible chance at having a completely normal happy life. The cord blood has already been stored so mommy already has a $300 bill but the infusion itself is $11,000! sJu t for the first one, the next two will be $9,000 a piece! t'That is hy we are here, asking if even $10 would be donated so that I may have this infusion and to help me continue to do well and fight through this thing called cerabal palsy all the doctors keep talking to mommy about!Thank you!!
