Medical Expenses for Gabriel Ramos

Gabriel Ramos is a 5th grader from Zachary Elementary School.
Over the course of the past few weeks, Gabriel's parents noticed that Gabriel was constantly tired and that small, random bruises repeatedly appeared on his body.
They were concerned, but chalked it up to a young boy's horseplay.
Recently, Gabriel woke up with his entire body bruised purple and a nose bleed that couldn't be stopped.
Terrified, Gabriel's mom rushed him to the ER. It was there that she received the news: Gabriel has Acute Myeloid Leukemia; his life was in imminent danger.
Gabriel had to be flown to San Antonio immediately. With a heavy heart, Gabriel's mother left behind three other young children and flew to San Antonio with Gabriel, where he is currently receiving treatment.
Treatment for Gabriel's condition is ongoing, as more complications continue to arise. Throughout this process, his mother had to leave work and relocate to San Antonio in order to care for him.
While Gabriel battles with cancer, his parents face the harsh reality of supporting a family of six with a single pay-check, in addition to the rising medical bills.
